Jr. Applications Engineer

Reports to: Sales Operations Lead

FLSA Status: Full Time, Salary-Exempt

SUMMARY:

Assist Application Engineers with supporting the Combi RSM’s (Regional Sales Managers). Pre-Sales and Post Sale support is included. This responsibility includes assisting Sales Administrative team, project management team, engineering, and shop personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Pre-Sales:

  • Case Reviews
  • Product Testing
  • Join Application Engineering and Sales on customer calls and/or visits
  • Work with Sr. Application Engineering for customer detailed specifics
  • Assist Sr. Application Engineering with developing the initial design of a project
  • Create customer specific layouts
  • Work with vendor(s) on layout and quotes for any equipment needed
  • Provide cost estimates to RSM’s for quoting purposes

Post Sales:

  • Organize & Perform purchase order review meetings
  • Relay project information to Engineering and Project Management
  • Revise layout and/or cost sheet per review
  • Advice Salesman of any concerns per review
  • Provide support to Project Management for the duration of the project
  • Revise customer layouts per customer changes and per as designed

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit at a desk. Standing and walking to different departments will be required.   The employee will need vision to see close, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, talk, hear and listen.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

SKILLS:

Demonstrate technical support to Application Engineering and Sales with strong mechanical and electrical skills.

  • Syteline Software, Hubspot, CRM, AutoCAD, Inventor, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Excellent customer interaction abilities
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to travel when needed
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
