Senior Business Development Manager – Wrapping Solutions

Reports to: Vice President of Sales  

FLSA Status: SALARY, Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven sales professional to grow our stretch wrapping business in North America. This key individual contributor role will focus on driving sales of stretch wrapping equipment, developing strategies to expand market share, and establishing lasting relationships with both channel partners and end-use customers. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in end-of-line packaging solutions, an exceptional sales performance track record, and a strategic mindset to proactively identify and close new growth opportunities.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets in North America.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Establish sales forecasts, budgets, and KPIs in alignment with Combi organizational objectives. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, channel partners, and consumable suppliers. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide customized solutions and ensure a seamless customer experience. 
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage high-value accounts to foster long-term partnerships. 

 

  • Promote cross-functional collaboration with engineering, marketing, and service teams to enhance product offerings and overall customer satisfaction.  
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert on stretch-wrapping machines and related packaging automation solutions. 
  • Work with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and sales materials to highlight product benefits. 
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to represent the company and stay informed of market developments.
  • Track and report on sales metrics, trends, and pipeline health to senior leadership. 
  • Use CRM tools to maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, and deal progress.
  • Continuously refine sales strategies based on data-driven insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).  
  • 5+ years of sales experience in packaging automation or industrial equipment sales. 
  • In-depth knowledge of stretch-wrapping machines and related technologies. 
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and data analytics tools.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively across North America (up to 50%).

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of the packaging industry, including trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with OEMs and distributors. 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
