SR Regional Sales Manager

Reports to: Vice President of Sales  

FLSA Status: Full Time, SALARY Exempt

SUMMARY:

Responsible and accountable for sales activities in their respected regional territory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Sells end of the line packaging equipment within a designated region.
  • Strives to consistently meet annual sales objectives set forth by V.P. of Sales.
  • Sets the vision for the region and develops a business plan to attain this vision.
  • Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales expectation.
  • Maintains and expands customer base through various sales channels.
  • Achieves expected profit margins in alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.

 

  • Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques.
  • Professionally and respectfully works with internal application and admin support team to prepare proposals.
  • Obtain information required to accurately prepare proposals to extend to customer.
  • Tracks and follows up with all sales leads provided.
  • Holds training sessions and give plants tours when requested.
  • Attend trade shows and various off-site meetings as requested.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Work Environment:

This is a professional environment and the role carried out will regularly utilize computers and multiline phones. Employees will regularly be in a temperature-controlled office unless on the Production floor. Employee will travel regularly to customer sites and for supporting Distributors.

The SR Regional Sales Manager will regularly need to talk and hear, sit, stand, walk and carry items up to 40 pounds as well as use hands and fingers, reach with arms and hands and lift and key data using a computer keyboard. They will also be required to travel by car and plane.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Travel will add additional hours and days.

 

Required Competencies:

  • Syteline Software, Proficient in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Excellent customer interaction abilities with inside and outside customers. Interaction with many departments within the company and distributors.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills for clear comprehension and listening to fully understand the customers’ needs, asking questions for confirmation.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and help team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and Time Management to stay current and complete needed assignments by deadlines.
  • Excellent ability to collaborate with many departments to meet customer needs.
  • Must be approachable and diplomatic to help customers and departments work together to meet customer needs and deadlines.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Four Year College Degree or equivalent in a related field is required.
  • A formal background in Engineering would be very helpful.
  • 3 - 5 Years Experience in Technical or Equipment sales.
  • Background in Sales of Packaging Equipment or Capital Equipment desired.
